The story of SVR started in 1962 in Ault, France, with Simone Véret, a passionate pharmacist, dedicated to creating innovative skincare solutions in the backroom of her pharmacy. With a deep commitment to science and skincare, she experimented with active ingredients to develop powerful treatments that quickly gained popularity.
Situated right by the beach, her pharmacy became a go-to destination for locals and tourists alike. One of her first formulations, FILTRASOL, became a summer essential for sun protection. For those who spent too much time in the sun, she developed CALMOBRUL, a soothing remedy for sunburns. Inspired by the transformative effects of her formulations, her husband, Robert Véret, encouraged her to take her expertise beyond the pharmacy—thus, SVR Laboratoire Dermatologique was born.
