CALCIUM PCA
Calcium PCA (calcium salt of pyrrolidone carboxylic acid) is a natural complex suitable for all skin types. As one of the NMFs (natural moisturising factors), PCA acts as a humectant, attracting and retaining water in the epidermis which in turn strengthens the skin's natural barrier. Calcium is an essential restructuring trace element: by stimulating cell renewal and lipid synthesis, it strengthens the skin barrier and promotes good cell cohesion. Calcium PCA is therefore a versatile cosmetic active ingredient (anti-ageing and moisturising) as it combines the moisturising properties of PCA with the restructuring qualities of calcium. The bio-calcium used in our formulas is bio-available, meaning it can be assimilated by the skin.
